JJ Valaya's collection

Last year he paid tribute to the lovable Tin Tin, that comic book character, who has humoured us for years.
This year designer JJ Valaya's collection was tribute to warriors through the ages -- the Greek Amazon, the Masai from Eastern Africa and the Japanese Samurai.
These forces will unite in the year 2040, an era devoid of passion, culture, values and ethics to save the world.
The show was a dramatic expression of this message, complete with befitting music, makeup and ensembles to complete the picture.
Fabrics used: linen-silk, georgettes, lycra, brocades and chenille.

Hail warrior!

It's all Greek

Yet, another striking ensemble from the collection, inspired by the Masai warrior

Designer Rohit Bal made a splash on the ramp with these words imprinted on this T-shirt at the young designer Manav Gangwani's show.
Here he sports a dressy embellished long jacket.
The collection had lots of big satin bows on skirts, bags and bodices and mixed and matched a melange of colours and fabrics.

A feisty ensemble from Manav's collection.
The can-can skirt was spotted quite a few times this season.
Don't miss the combination of red leggings and blue block heels and a stylish clutch

More drama on the catwalk
The designer walks alongside a look-alike of the cartoon character Betty Boo, who entered from the audience and introduced the show

Shweta charms the ramp
They've dressed Dame Judi Dench, who chose to wear her Indian ensemble all the way to the Oscars.
They've also dressed the doyen of the Indian film industry, the Big B, Amitabh Bachchan.
As also gorgeous Aishwarya Rai.
No wonder then, designer duo Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla are included in the pantheon of Indian haute couture.
On April 7, we saw their repertoire of 20 years, a visual delight that shall be etched in the mind's eye for years to come.
Shweta Bachchan-Nanda walked the ramp in an Abu-Sandeep classic.

Bips sizzles in white

The colour white sizzles magically against dusky skin. Especially when it encases, from head to toe, model-turned-Bollywood-siren Bipasha Basu. She struck a pose at the grand finale of the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week in New Delhi wearing a white flowing gown with a plunging neckline. The collection titled Garden Of Desire was showcased by Delhi-based designer duo Rohit Gandhi-Rahul Khanna and Mumbai-based designer Monisha Jaising
